Q: How does a family learn about admission to the Academy?

By contacting the school office, information will be sent outlining the Academy's offerings and providing application materials.
Should a family have questions, they may call the office at (508) 520-2272 or email our admissions office. Families may also attend an Admissions Open House.
Q: Are there extracurricular activities?
A: After school programs
such as Running & Fitness, Dance, Drama, Piano, and Computers are offered throughout the year.
Q: What kinds of courses do students take?
A: Cornerstone uses
the A Beka Book curriculum as the foundation of the academic program covering traditional subjects or reading, language, math,
science, history health and geography. Students also take enrichment classes in art, music, physical education, computers,
and beginning in Grade 3, Latin.
Q: What is the A Beka Book curriculum like?
A: It is a scripture-based
curriculum with special emphasis on each of the following subject areas: Math, Language Arts, Reading, Phonics, Science, Health,

Q: Are special education services provided?
A: No. The Academy
does not have specialized personnel or services available to work with students that have Individual Education Programs (IEP's)
at this time.
Q: Is transportation provided for students?
A: No. Families are
responsible for getting their children to school. However, many students carpool with other families.
Q: Are uniforms required?
A: Yes. In kindergarten through grade
4 boys wear navy pants or shorts with a burgundy shirt and girls wear navy skirts/skorts, jumpers, pants or shorts with a
white blouse. In grades 5-8, boys boys wear navy pants or shorts with light blue shirts and girls wear navy skirts/skorts,

Q: What is the length of the school day?
A: The school day begins
at 8:30 a.m. Half-day Kindergarten students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m.; the day ends at 2:45 for all other students.
Q: Does the school offer Chapel?
A: Yes. Once a week, the students
gather for morning Chapel.
Q: Is the Academy affiliated with a church?
A: No. Cornerstone
Christian Academy in an independent, non-denominational Christian school.
