The Art Program at Cornerstone Christian Academy always remains steadfast to the mission of the Academy in determining the objectives to be achieved in each lesson and the developmental stage of the students at each grade level.  Below is an outline of the goals for this program: 

Artistic & Perceptual Skills

• To be able to recognize, appreciate, and utilize the elements of art: hue, shape, value, space, color, pattern, texture, balance, dominance, and contrast.

 Art Production

• To understand who the Creator is and that we are created in the image of God;
• To give all children the opportunity to fill a God-given longing to create.

 Art History

• To study Art and artists; their effect on and place in History;
• To study Art movements;
• To study the cultural connections of Art to individuals, societies, and the environment.

 Art Analysis

• When equipped with the above goals as tools, the students will have the opportunity to use critical thinking skills to make personal observations and provide commentary on specific works of art.
