Board of Directors

Theodore E. Ammering (ex officio)

BA in Biology, Ithaca College. Retired from U.S. Air Force in the grade of Lieutenant Colonel after twenty years in command, supervisory, and management positions. Worked eleven years as a systems engineer for a defense contractor developing military communications systems and preparing proposals for government contracts. One of the founders of the school; member of the Board of Directors since its inception; former President of the Board and is currently assisting the Board in policy and procedure development. 

Kerin Hager

Mrs. Hager works as a full-time classroom aide, primarily in the kindergarten class.  She has an Associate’s Degree in applied science from Holliston Junior College.  She has received certification from Dean College as an Early Childhood Educator and is licensed through the state of Massachusetts as an Early Childhood Education teacher.  She served as president of Cornerstone’s Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) for two years prior to joining Cornerstone’s Board where she participates in the Hiring and Tuition Assistance Committees and chairs the Fundraising Committee.  She is also currently serving as Board clerk.  Mrs. Hager's son is a Cornerstone alumna.

Amanda D. Irwin (ex officio)

Member of the Board by virtue of her position as the CCA Head of School. BS in Education and MS in Educational Administration from Wheelock College. Twenty years of experience in education including regular and special education teaching and administration. Sixteen years  as a Senior Administrator for a day school serving special needs students. Mandy and her husband Ross have two children; one is a CCA alumna and the other is currently enrolled at CCA. As a past elected Board member, served as Board Vice President and chairperson of the Development Committee. 

Allen J. Magliaro

BA in economics from Columbia University. Thirty years of experience in marketing and retail sales: President of Gaylen Shoes, Inc. for fifteen years; former President of Tri-Valley Sports in Medway, MA.  Taught Latin at CCA for several years. Al is serving as President of the Board of Directors.

Jamie Noon

Jamie has been in the construction industry for over 20 years since serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He has worked in many cities across the country and been responsible for over $600 Million in commercial construction throughout his career.  He is currently the Project Manager for John Moriarty & Associates in Winchester, MA, where he has been for nine years.  Jamie and his wife, Lisa, have three children; two of their children are students at Cornerstone. 

Deborah O’Toole

BA in Psychology from Wellesley College, an MSW with a focus on social work administration from Boston College, and a J.D. from Suffolk University. Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2001. She has worked at The Walker Home and School in Needham, MA for 17 years. Walker is a residential treatment center, day school, and has several community based programs for children with special emotional and behavioral needs and their families. Deborah has held several positions within the organization, ranging from an entry level child care worker, child care supervisor, research associate, and her current position as the Director of Human Resources and External Compliance, a senior management position. Deborah and her husband, Allan have two sons; both are students at Cornerstone.   

Michele Prevett

Michele came to CCA in September of 2006 and spent two years as a middle school teacher before switching to a part-time role as Curriculum and Instruction specialist.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and is a Massachusetts licensed teacher. Before coming to CCA, she taught creative writing and English, as well as multiple subjects as a GED preparatory course instructor.  Her experience with youth includes serving as a co-youth leader working with both junior and senior high school age children.

Anthony Rivera

BS in electrical engineering from Boston University. More than 14 years of experience as a management consultant servicing global clients in the financial services industry.  Currently he is a Senior Manager within Accenture's Banking practice. Prior to that, he spent four years as an officer in the Signal Corps of the United States Army. Tony and his wife Pam have three children; two are currently enrolled at CCA. Currently serving as Treasurer and chairperson of the Finance Committee.
