Hours of OperationCornerstone's office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. Students who are in the half-day kindergarten program are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Cornerstone offers a morning program that begins at 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. UniformsStudents at Cornerstone wear school uniforms. Their uniforms include a regular daily uniform, a dress uniform for chapel days and other special events, and a PE uniform for gym days. The intent of the Uniform Policy is based on scripture and can be summarized by Romans 12:2, Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. We are also reminded in Scripture of the importance to be decent and orderly in all things, But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. (1 Corinthians 14:40). School SuppliesSchool Supplies are included as part of tuition. LunchStudents bring snacks and lunch each day. We encourage families to pack a healthy snack, lunch and drink that do not require a refrigerator or microwave. We provide pizza on Fridays at no charge.Field TripsAt each grade level we have special events that enhance our curriculum. All serve to build our community and celebrate our learning. Field trips, which are included in the tuition, are one example of our special events. Each class can expect to go on one or two field trips each year. Students have gone to the Trinity Reperatory Theatre, Newport Mansions, Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, Plymouth Plantation, Roger Williams Park and Zoo, and many other exciting places. |
