Providing a Strong Foundation 

Cornerstone Christian Academy’s lower elementary program provides a strong academic, spiritual, and social foundation for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade.  As kindergartners at Cornerstone, children begin their school experience in a nurturing environment which is full of exciting things to discover. When they emerge from 4th grade, they have gained effective work habits, a spirit of inquiry, and a strong knowledge base preparing them for our Middle School program. 

During these early stages of learning, we take a developmental approach, striving to meet students where they are at and bring them along. We challenge learners who are ready to excel and we support learners who need more time to master concepts, while moving the class along at an ambitious but manageable pace.  

At the same time, we encouraged students to develop loving, respectful relationships with the adults and peers around them. Students benefit when there is a strong relationship between home, school, and church, therefore through these formative years, we work together with parents to form an important bond on behalf of their children. Our desire is to provide a consistent message to children as they develop, helping them to learn about who God is and who they are in God’s eyes.
