PTF Outreach Opportunities

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrafices God is pleased.  James 1:16

Cornerstone Christian Academy participates in several different outreach and service projects throughout the school year.  Below is a list of some of the projects we have been involved with.  More detailed information will be provided as these projects develop.

Operation Christmas Child
Students and faculty bring in gifts and goodies that are placed in a shoebox, wrapped in Christmas paper and sent to a center where they are shipped to children in need all over the world.  Each box is made specifically for a boy or girl and for a certain age group.  Students really enjoy bringing in their goodies and helping to arrange the boxes and decorate them.

Jen's Jackets
Winter coats and other outerwear are collected for donation to homeless children and their families, all in the memory of Jen Ballarino, a Franklin resident who died of brain cancer.

Church Support
From time to time Cornerstone will come along side a church and help out with one of their ministries.  Students have provided school supplies, snacks for children in after-care programs and washed windows, to name a few.

Visit with the Seniors
Mrs. Abbott and the second graders enjoy visiting senior living centers and spend time with the residents.  The students will often sing songs that they have been learning in class, recite a poem they are working on or act out a Bible story they have been studying.

Family to Family Ministry
This ministry provides meals, transportation, child care, prayer support and more for families in need.
