Cornerstone is continually blessed by the large number of volunteers willing to help in so many different aspects of the school.  If you are interested, below is a partial list of opportunities along with the person to contact.

Family to Family Ministry

This important ministry assists Cornerstone families in need. We can help with meals, transportation, child care, prayer support, and much more. We provide assistance during times of need, such as times of bereavement, illness, or financial hardship. this team can also help if a specific need arises, such as childcare or carpool issues. Parents in Prayer

Parents in Prayer is a casual prayer group consisting of Cornerstone parents and friends that pray for all things concerning our school. We meet on Wednesday mornings at Cornerstone from 8:30 to 9:30. Children are welcome! Feel free to join us to pray aloud or silently in your heart. It is always a blessing to come together to lift our praises and concerns to our God who graciously hears and answers us when we pray. Room Parent Team

Room Parents are selected by individual classroom teachers each school year. Room Parents help classroom teachers as needed and serve as contact coordinators to disseminate inforation or obtain volunteers. Room Parents help coordinate field trip chaperones, holiday parties, food for Teacher Appreciation Week in February, collections for Christmas and year end teacher gifts, and classroom Auction items. Recess Volunteer Team

For those parents looking for an on-going activity, please consider the Recess Volunteer Team. The Team oversees the safety and social success of the morning and lunchtime recess times. Volunteering provides hands-on involvement with our children, a much needed break-time for our teachers, and is truly one of the most rewarding experiences at our school. Yearbook Team

The Yearbook Team oversees complete production of our school yearbook. Yearbook Team activities include photography, soliciting news from classroom teachers, and providing the layout and other related details for production. Fellowship Team

Are you new to Cornerstone? Our Fellowship Team can connect you with an established Cornerstone family to guide you through your first year! The Fellowship Team also organizes social activities during the school year, such as the Welcome Back Picnic, Winter Fun Day, and Last Day Hurrah. Outreach Team

Our Outreach Team coordinates projects that include ways for Cornerstone to promote goodwill while serving our surrounding communities. Operation Christmas Child

Box Tops for Education

Save those “Box Tops” and send them to school with your child. Rally your family and friends as it is free money for Cornerstone! Everyone can register and shop at www.boxtops4education.com right now. A percentage of every purchase is donated to Cornerstone when you register and shop through this website! This program currently needs a coordinator to send in the box tops in October and February and to communicate information about the Box Tops program on an occasional basis. Pennies for Cornerstone

Is that loose change weighing down your purse or pocket? Send it in with your child once a month! The class who collects the most earns a dress down day! Uniform Swap

Gently used uniforms are available at the school for your children and are available anytime during summer office hours and school hours during the school year. Monetary donations are accepted but not required to use this ministry. To donate items, please make sure the items are clean, not wear-worn, and tagged with sizes. Ink Cartridge Recycle Program

Send your used computer ink cartridges to school! We recycle and receive cash for each one! Rebate Programs

Did you know we have rebate programs with Target, Lands End, Stop & Shop A+ bonus Bucks, and School POP? A percentage of your purchase is donated to Cornerstone when you register and purchase through these retailers. Currently this program does not have a coordinator. Cornerstone Business Directory

Cornerstone would like to publish a Business Directory to provide free advertising for Cornerstone Parents' businesses with the goal of promoting avenues of income for Cornerstone families. Friends, family members and employers of Cornerstone parents may purchase ads for a nominal fee. All business advertisers must provide services or goods that complement the philosophy, doctrine and by-laws of Cornerstone and will be approved by the Co-Chairs. On-Line School Store

We currently have an on-site school store that sells Cornerstone logo items such as sports bottles, travel mugs, fleece blankets, canvas totes, and selected outerwear. Auction Committee
